Be not cast down and disquieted. In the Koine Greek, the language of the New Testament, there are different words that are translated “love.” Agape is the kind of love that is perfect and pure; selfless and active. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me: because I live, you also shall live. Verses 28-31 Christ raises the expectations of his disciples to something beyond what they thought was their greatest happiness. The word used here, signifies an advocate, counsellor, monitor, and comforter. He would abide with the disciples to the end of time; his gifts and graces would encourage their hearts. In just a little while, the world will no longer see me; but you will see me.
Though these words may be understood of a corporeal life, which they shall live after the resurrection; for though they die, they shall live again, and never die more; they shall not only live and reign with Christ a thousand years, but to all eternity.
Thus John wants us to see that Jesus alone shares this quality with God.
